Mancini Fellowships often include graduate tuition plus a stipend at the Frost School of Music to work as a teaching assistant and perform in the HMI Orchestra. Fellowships are offered at the discretion of the Frost School of Music’s Graduate Admissions office. On occasion, composing fellowships are offered to graduate students who demonstrate an aptitude for composing and arranging for the unique instrumentation of the Mancini Institute Orchestra. Most participants are between the ages of 22-25. They are chosen through a highly selective admission and audition process. In addition to performing in the full orchestra, many Mancini Fellows also participate in an elite chamber orchestra, performing cutting-edge contemporary compositions as well as other major repertoires.
If you are a prospective graduate student interested in becoming a Mancini Fellow, please contact our Graduate Admissions office at (305) 284-2241 or email GradStudies@music.miami.edu for application and audition information.
