Andrew Peal is a multi-genre trombonist, composer, and music educator currently based in Miami, where he has played and recorded with ensembles such as the South Florida Jazz Orchestra, Frost Studio Jazz Band, and Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra. Program highlights include The Music of Gary Lindsay: Are We Still Dreaming and South Florida Jazz Orchestra featuring Rick Margitza. As a member of these ensembles, Peal has performed with renowned artists such as Randy Brecker, Kevin Mahogany, Arturo Sandoval, John Hart, Brian Lynch, Janis Seigel, Nicole Yarling, and Gregg Field.

Peal currently serves as graduate teaching assistant at the Frost School of Music, where he provides jazz combo instruction and mentorship to undergraduate students. Peal is also a teaching artist with Young Musicians Unite and has worked as a musical director for the Brownsville Unity Music Project and Frost Online Music Camp.

In addition to performing and teaching, Peal enjoys composing and arranging music for a wide variety of ensemble configurations, from jazz quartet to big band.
