DMA Saxophone Performance.
Originally from Yantai, China, saxophonist Shengbo Lin began studies with professor Li Manlong at the China Conservatory of Music. He received a master’s degree from Shenandoah University, studying classical saxophone performance with Timothy Roberts. He is currently pursuing a DMA in classical saxophone performance with Dale Underwood at the Frost School of Music as a teaching assistant and Henry Mancini Institute Fellow. Lin has competed in several competitions, winning first prize in the First Beijing International Saxophone Competition (2013), honorable mention in the MTNA Semi-Finals (2017), and concerto competitions at Shenandoah University (2016) and Frost School of Music (2020).
